My journey with Adr plexus started back in prefinal year when I got to attend a few demo classes. That was when I decided that I would use only this platform after internship for pg preparation. My most favourite faculty was Dr.Sarath Balaji sir. It’s because of him that I fell in love with paediatrics and now wish to pursue the same. Dr. Arun sir was so supportive throughout and was so generous to offer live classes in addition to the online ones for our batch. Will forever be grateful to Adr plexus for being there throughout this arduous journey.

Preparation Strategy

What was your study Plan?

Focused more on the short subjects because it has a very high strike rate. I was weak at spm more specifically. So during the revision period I did spm 1 hr a day for almost 1 month. Mcq practice I feel is the key for a good score. Took gts once a week during the last few months.

How many hours did u study ?

5 to 6 hrs a day

During your preparation, did you ever doubt your ability to succeed in it?

No. Even when my rank wasn’t so great in inicet after good prep, I never had any self doubt. Being confident about my ownself was one of the major factors that helped me navigate the turbulent tides.

When did you seriously start preparing for this exam?

June/july 2020

Did you face the problem of volatile memory? If so, how did you deal with it?

Mcqs. When I made mistakes with mcqs and went retrograde to do the concepts, I could remember things easily.

What was your daily timetable during the preparation? Were you able to stick to the timetable strictly?

Used to start by 6 am and first 1 hr was for revision of what I did the previous day. Used to sketch the time table the previous night. My timetable was quite different. While revising changing the subject every 1 hr gave me a good yield. Used to study till afternoon and after that practice only mcqs till I go to bed.

Which books did you read for the theory part?

Just revised my notes during pg prep.

Tips for your Juniors

HOW many choices did u attempt ? ROUGH NUMBER. Please detail your strategies

I feel more the number of questions you attend, more are the chances of you getting a good score. Initially used to attend 175/200 questions, but as my scores didn’t improve towards the end attended about 199/200, which helped me improve my scores.
Your first instinct is always right so never change the answers while reviewing.

YOUR recommended books for PG PREPARATION

Just revise your notes and practice lots and lots of mcqs. Reading standard text books at this point may waste your time.
